I have before recommended an acer aspire laptop for college students. If you want the best laptop for college students, then I would go for Acer AS5742. The price is affordable and the laptop is just great.

The i5 processor is just great value for the money and it just performs so well. Furthermore it is very light and the design looks cool in my opinion.
