The most important thing you can know about credit cards is that you do not have to pay ANY interest or fees if you pay them off in full every month.

If you are really focused and understand that a Credit Card is a tool, and are willing to pay it off in full every month then you open yourself up to a lot of excellent options.

Student credit cards are a great place to start. In fact some cards offered to students are the best out there in terms of points.
