Don't search only for the high paying jobs--look for a job that suits you, challenges you, and the money will follow--you'll find a way to make it happen, esp if you are not into desk jobs or monotony! If you like arts and like to travel, learn a foreign language and learn about art...you could teach in a foreign country, be director of a museum, open an art gallery, etc... etc... etc... But honestly, at your age, look for something that you are passionate about and if it's true to your core, all the rest will come with it...trust me, many many of the "high paying jobs" are monotonous desk jobs, and they suck you in and trap you!!!

Front desk at a hotel. That way, even if you have long hours, you can still do your homework.

Go to his boss!!! Having mental issues is not an excuse for his actions. If he doesn't 'have a superior' ask to speak with a judge because they would know what to do and who can handle it.

A city recreation desk attendant is a really good one...I used to do that, and I had a really good network of people to hang out with.
Additionally, being in a city job has good perks and pay is more stable than some of the other independent businesses that you're looking at. If you can get a job doing that, I would go for it.
