Another option is the Apple refurbished area:

These are still guaranteed Apple products with the Apple warranty, but they've been refurbished. The savings here can be up to 35%

eBay and Craig's list are good options, but there's a much greater element of risk with both, and it's unlikely you'll get a warranty. I bought my Mac Pro tower from the educational store and saved about $800.

Attached below is a list of colleges known for their generous financial aid for low income students. It doesn't change the price of your tuition but what it does is either provides you with no loan packages (so you graduate debt free) or with a full ride to college.

There are many colleges on this list. Some are more generous with their aid than others, as in they have wider income guidelines. But, it's a place to get started in your search.

Do remember to fill out the FAFSA, the free application for federal student aid, as soon as you can. The early bird gets the worm in this case. Also, colleges will use that information to match you up with scholarships and grants.
