Tyrone Said:

Freaking out about college admissions, need your thoughts!?

We Answered:

I agree with what Minuel mentioned, and want to add that you can check mychances.net to see where your stats would stand right now.

I want to revise her thoughts a bit as well-Columbia - Reach (As it is for everyone) AGREE
Georgetown - Not sure/didn't research, but I assume reach IT IS A REACH, YES
UConn - Match? AGREE
UW- Madison - Public.. should be in..NO- ITS A MODERATELY SELECTIVE SCHOOL, SO COULD GO EITHER WAY
UGA... MATCH
UCLA - GPA is a bit low, but we'll have to see weighted GPA: Match, low reach AGREE
USC - Low Reach? AGREE
Pepperdine - Low reach/reach
Brown - reach
Northwestern - high match- THIS IS THE ONE I DISAGREE WITH MOST, THIS IS A REACH FOR SURE

Hugh Said:

What should my college graduation party theme be?

We Answered:

Just go with the green and gold. Why does a graduation party need a theme? The people there should be celebrating your accomplishments, and that's all.

Victoria Said:

suggestions for college visits?

We Answered:

I suggest touring the following colleges in the Boston metro area: Holy Cross, Boston College. They have division 1 sports and spectacular campuses.

Does anyone know of any good cheap European Tours offered in the Spring?

We Answered:

Firstly, most importantly, do not just go for a week!!! How do you think you are going to visit all of those countries in a week? To visit any more than one or two would mean spending all of your time on buses or trains, stopping for lunch or one day in a city and then sleeping on the bus to the next place. Seriously. Lower your scope a little. If you are going for about 10 days, I would just visit one country. You could visit several cities in Italy or a couple in Spain. If you really must say you have been to lots of countries, you could go to France and drive through Belgium to the Netherlands? Spain and Portugal would be a nice trip. Even those would be rushed in a week.
You should really try and go for longer. Your biggest expense will be the flight (I am assuming you are in the US) so why spend that much money on 10 days when you could stay for 3 weeks or more? Europe is massive and amazing and has so much to see and do. A few days will hardly do one city justice. If you go to the right places it isn't too expensive.
A tour? Tours are expensive. You are paying for your meals and petrol and all of that, plus you are paying for a middle man (the tour company) to take their cut. Europe is a really really easy place to travel independently. It is very safe, even alone. I travelled extensively over there, by myself, when I was only 18. It is easy and fun and much more rewarding than being shuttled around by a tour guide, telling you where to eat and when you get free time. Trust me, if you do it by yourself, your wallet will be heavier and your experiences that much better. There are loads of trains and buses to everywhere you want to go and almost everyone speaks english (which makes it really easy, although a little annoying when you want to practice your Spanish!)
So go!
Have fun and don't worry.
