I want to be the same thing! Well I want to play in a band but it's good to have a back up plan.

I'm going to be going to Columbia College in Chicago. I don't have great info to give you but I have researched it a lot and I think a record label or music management company is a good place to get an internship.

I have seriously looked at every school everywhere for music management and I haven't found a school that can even come close to Columbia in Chicago.

I think it would be a good idea to visit their website because they list all the classes you take.

The reason I can't really give you any info about the majors you would need to take is because Columbia is such a different unique school compared to any other school in the world. I will be taking classes like "Touring Live Entertainment" and "Box Office and Beyond". Its way different then any other college. Most colleges would have boring classes like "How to manage money".

You certainly stand a shot at those schools. However, as insurance, you should also apply to some other schools that are a bit less competitive to get into, like UMass Amherst. Very good school, but admits more of its applicants than BC does. So pick a couple of back up schools that are also very strong, but a bit less difficult to get into, just in case.

I do not see a problem because you will be working for free most of the time.You have to start some where and you could call them up and see if they do take internships.
