a. dont pay
b. pay very little (waste of gas)
c. make you pay to work there

Better idea:
Go the the public school for 4 years.
And get the masters or even a doctorate at the private school if you can get in.

One note: These private college tend to offer nice "packages" for the best students.
Bright students could possibly pay what they would pay for public school education.
You can also negotiate. Call the private college, after you get an offer from the public school and see if they will match it.
Ace the SAT and ACT. Get a book this summer on mastering these tests
(if you already have not done so).
Don't omit applying to them to these best colleges - you'll never know what they will offer...
