I did a program earlier this year with a company called Expanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I signed up for a one month volunteer program and it was around US$1100, and that included living in a shared apartment in the city. I guess with that price and a flight to Argentina you might be able to keep it under US$2000. It was a great program and i had the most amazing time in Argentina, i would recommend it to anyone!
