Career Advice for a high school student?

We Answered:

Senior Citizen advice: I've tried a lot of fields & job satisfaction has always proven to be the "richest" route. If you love doing ANY aspect of your job (hate your boss, but love your co-workers, etc.), then it makes live less stressful, less sick days, less temptation to to add destructive habits to your life style, less medical bills, less depression, etc. Which in turn makes your life fuller b/c you start attracting QUALITY people & opportunities to your life. Think about the big picture. Life experience can bring you wisdom. When you lose your youth, Wisdom makes aging painless. Even after stupid mistakes, wrong decisions & failures -- you can look back w/ no regrets. That's a "priceless" comfort.

Help a high school student choose her future career?

We Answered:

From the information you have given me,
you sound like you should take on studies that will one day make you a manager. You seem to have manager qualities and seem very intelligent!
To do this, you would need to study a business degree which are quite good such as commerce, in which you choose majors in for example marketing and managment.
This job can get you a very generous salary, im talking BMW/Audi cars.

Doing a degree in commerce/business is also good because it provides you with a wide range of business skills and therefore you will be able to get a job very easily with a business degree.

Marketing would suit your talent with creativity and writing and further develop your skills.

If business does not interest you, don't do it. School teachers don't earn very high wages but if you are passionate about it then go for it :)

you might like to be an architect or interior designer.
the sports and cheerleading is great and you might like to consider having an evening job or weekend job as a cheerleading coach when you are older. It also means more money ;)

The best thing to do is go to university open days and speak with a careers counsellor. Another thing you can do is go onto google and search for tests which ask you a lot of questions and then suggest careers which may suit you.

This is all just ideas and advice, so use it as a guide and don't feel like you have to take on a certain type of studies or career to please society or anyone. Do what makes you happy :)

Sorry i couldnt give anymore advice
goodluck!

career advice for high school student in india?

We Answered:

IIT is a good university , but getting into IIT, the chances are rare, or should i say, the chances are 1 in 87...
whereas the chances in Harvard are 1 in 10.

anyways, India is growing, within the next ten years, your Indian Diploma is going (specially IIT's) to be worth way more than Harvard, Oxford or MIT, India is turning into Australia, if not USA, so going to USA NOW, is not going to make much difference..

Discuss It!
