Herman Said:
which colleges should I apply to (undergrad).?We Answered:
I would put Georgetown in Wash DC high on your list. Harvard is also always high on the list for anyone studying Poli/Sci (Being an international student always opens up more doors even to the top schools). I would put most of the DC schools (e.g. Catholic University, American University, George Mason College). I would also put most of the state universities that are in state capitols (e.g. SUNY Albany, UT Austin, Sac State) and also private universities in capital cities (e.g. University of Denver) - these all will provide extra linkages and real life opportunities to play in the political world. studying poli - sci in one of the elite private colleges is often not as great (I did this for a year at Middlebury - bad choice).DA

P.S. You were actually correct the first time an 85 is a B and is about a 3.4 - unless your school does any weighting of your overall GPA.

What can I do to get accepted into USC?We Answered:
You can go towww.collegedata.com
It's a great website. You can enter your status (gpa, extracurricular, ETC.) and it gives you your chances on admittion. It's very informative then you can also see the profiles of students who applied and got accepted and those who didn't.
You could also go directly to this link and USC gives the profile of their admitted students

University of Pittsburgh question?We Answered:
I am very familiar with Pitt main campus (I'm an undergrad there right now), so I'll try my best to help you here.I got into Pitt with a 1250 SAT (old style.. I think it was 1850) and a 3.82 GPA. I did not even have to write an essay or give activities but I also applied extremely early.
If you are currently a high school senior, I'd apply ASAP. If you're a junior, I would apply as early as possible as well. Pitt's admissions are rolling so the earlier you submit it, the better.
You seem to have a lot of activities and I know that they really like first-generation students as well. I think your chances are pretty good. The only thing that might hurt you is the SAT score, but Pitt looks at the GPA, essay and the activities as well. Good luck and Hail to Pitt!

What careers should I look into?We Answered:
Hi there , I think that choosing a career has nothing to do with how good u are in ur class . You need to list out things that you really like to do and find a profession related to those things. Also you should have inclination towards the field in which you would like to pursue your career. Why don't you list such things and see for yourself which profession would suit you. If you still have difficulty re post a question and see what all of us on Yahoo can suggest you...Geraldine Said:
