Activities and work experience only count if they're related to your field. In fact, it's not a good idea to list a bunch of unrelated activities - you don't want them thinking you're going to do anything but work on your classes.

Wow, you are nearly an identical candidate as my good fraternity friend. He transferred to Cornell his sophomore year from BU. He was heavily involved and had a great GPA. Not sure about his SATs, but after a year and a half at college, I doubt they mean too much anymore. I think you have a great shot, and good luck to you.

well, you should probably want to take more science courses, obviously. maybe you could take a course in the summer, and then, you can advance, and be ahead in you sciences. im pretty sure that for everything except english, you only need 3 yrs to graduate. so maybe you can not take french senior ur, and take an AP science couse. try to volunteer at you local hospital, or something to get experience, and it will look good on your college app.

Having two bachelor's degrees (if you didn't do them simultaneously) is kind of redundant.

I'd suggest you go straight into a master's journalism program. Many offer programs with a focus on politics, if that's what you're interested in, and most of them cater to people who studied something other than journalism as an undergrad.
