You sound silly talking about how you did better than all your friends in high school. Didn't anybody tell you? High school is a joke. It might correlate to future success in some sense, but college is so different (and difficult) that having any kind of pride coming from something so comparatively elementary is just ridiculous. People who do well in college are the ones that work hard, your friends worked hard. Now you need to do that. Let go of high school, this is a whole different game.
