I haven't seen any statistics on that. If you're sure you want to go back, the best way to do it is to go through and apply to colleges, get accepted somewhere, and then defer admission for a year. That way it's all set up for you, so it's not a huge pain while you're working or doing whatever in your year off. The longer you wait, the more work it is.

Your chances are great as long as you get a decent grade. It is not always what you take but how do in what you take. If you plan to go Ivy the AP classes will help you more than if you go to a state school. Relax and enjoy high school. But don't forget to keep studying. Best of luck to you.

With elementary kids I'd just do something really simple. Like split them up by the colored shirts they are wearing. And then figure out what percentage of kids are wearing red, blue, green, etc.

For high school kids, you can do a little more. Like make a bunch of fun statistic questions: How many kids in the class like Rock? How many kids watch Survivor? How many kids play instruments? How many play sports?

Then you can really make them think and ask what is the probability that a kid who likes rock, also plays sports? etc.

Try and make it as interactive and hands on as possible so you don't bore them to death.
