Well, I just think you need to determine what is best for you....if you want to move out of the house, you probably wouldnt be allowed to homeschool unless you kept your official address wherever your parents live. The truth is, homeschooling will help you be able to get a job and take college courses, because you will have a much more flexible schedule. The employers will look at you first because you will be able to work during the day when they need you because all of your peers are in school. Personally, I think homeschooling is the best option, but that may be because I was a homeschooler, and it worked really well for me. The whole thing about no social life is completely wrong, I am such a social person, like you. And you will obviously be able to get plenty of social life with your boyfriend, college, and work. Just do whatever you think you will be able to handle properly. Prioritize...figure out if you will have enough time to put your all into either homeschooling or the accelerated classes, and move from there...good luck!!

Illinois Virtual High School is one. Their fall registration is closed, but you might be able to get in if you have special circumstances, or you could maybe get in for the next term.

They have been in business for five years and serve students all over Illinois. You register through your high school.

Homeschooling through high school can be a great experience, but you have to go about it right. First, you have to do your research on the best curriculum's. Bob Jones University is what I used for most of my HS, and I loved it. It's really pretty easy to do on your own (I did, and I was working part time while using it), all your parents need to do it grade the work problems and tests.

Why do you want to be homeschooled though? Is there a particular reason? I can tell you, you will have moments of regret though when you see pictures of your friends at school, during prom, homecoming, and especially during your senior year. You will also have more run-around with college, and without a school counselor, it's harder to find scholarships. Plus, your parents have to constantly keep up with your transcripts, because they are now responsible for them.

All in all, Homeschooling is rewarding, but make sure that it is for you.

Ive been home-schooled for 7 years now, it rocks! sleep in late, watch tv whenever, and for me it only takes 1 hour and a half to complete a school day I took drivers ed not too long ago.... and I had huge anxiety attacks but luckily thats over and im calm, cool ,and relaxed again at home :) oh yea stress free...but believe me you will wanna go back to school

do it! beat the anxiety attacks I hate those! home-schooling is a great alternative to anxiety attacks!

I am in GA and about to start my 9th grade daughter at home using Bridgeway Academy. Their website is http://www.bridgewayacademy.com. I know another person using this program and have been for several years. They handle everything for you, including all your state paperwork, testing, etc. You'll even get a normal state certified diploma from your own state. They are based out of PA, but whenever I call they are very nice and helpful. They also assign each student an advisor that is available for help and questions during the school days.
