Apply everywhere. i'm 18 and just out of highschool. When I tried to get a job I applied somewhere and waited a month for a reply weather I got the job or not. I did this twice and realized the time started ticking away and I still didnt have a job. So then I just applied everywhere I could (even if I wasnt sure if I wanted to work there) and eventually got a job that I loved.

Any fast-food place will hire place will hire you. A lot on applications are online, but some are still on paper so you will have to go in and fill one out. They ask basic questions about your background.

We sometimes get hs students who are interested in our field working part-time in our office. As this is often their first serious job, the first time they are forced to perform mundane tasks for extended periods, it invariably turns them off the profession.

My advice then would be the same as the previous poster: get a job that pays you nothing and is as disgusting as it can be - hopefully then you will be inspired to work toward something better, persevere through the internship or whatever and the real job, in turn, might not seem near as bad given the base you have for comparison.
