However, if laptops are needed to present lessons or for students to complete work, most schools have laptop carts and students can use a school laptop for this purpose.

The Pros of classroom laptops: Assists teachers and students in fulfilling the curriculum, standards, developing lessons and completing the assigned work.

The Cons: Signal problems that are time consuming and take up valuable class time
Risk of theft of personal equipment
Risk of damage (if the laptop falls,ETC.)

I was using a school laptop last year, when a disruptive student threw a book at me. It hit the laptop, knocking it down to the floor. The entire screen was damaged and had to be replaced.

Again, the benefits outweigh the negatives. However, I would definitely use school laptops. This also gives the teacher the advantage when and how the laptops should be used.
