I don't believe there are any internships at your level presently, however, there are demands for volunteers in all of the burroughs of New York. Some of the Y! members have used volunteering to develop careers in some very pricey positions.

If you have access to transferring to a vocational high school when you finish junior high, that may be another place where you might get some opportunities for internships, but they would be part of your high school studies, and most likely not paying positions.

It would seem like a major in electronics at high school would open some opportunities for you. Then, you might find something in electronics in a downtown shopping area or a shopping mall. That means that at first, you may have to go into an electronics store and volunteer your time to them as a janitor or a stock boy. Then later on, you may be hired for work you did as a volunteer.
