A high school won't "give" you a diploma unless you graduate. That's not them being money hungry, that's them following federal law.

If you want to go to college, you need to obtain your high school diploma or complete an equivalency program (obtain your GED).

If private high school is too expensive or simply a poor fit, spend the next 2 years in public school then get your diploma and move on to college. I went to public school and got into an Ivy league university, so there's really no reason why you shouldn't go to public school.

I went to a crappy money hungry super rich kid private school and now I'm at a very prestigious 4 year college, wayyy better off than I was in high school. I'm planning on med school too, so I get where you're coming from....I would suggest that you do everything you can (literally EVERYTHING) to get into that program. If I had a chance to start college earlier and bump the whole med school process ahead, I totally would have. Good luck!!!

There are homeschooling programs to fit your every whim. You need to make a list of the classes required by the honors program. As well as any other requirements. Then you need to meet those requirements tracking test scores, attendance, etc. You need to find out if they accept homeschoolers. They should as we live in a more progressive society today. The diploma is nothing these days. Transcripts, exit exams, and SAT's are everything. The diploma is only the wall art prize. I was never asked to show my diploma only my transcripts and there are a number of programs out there that track your information for you.

It's difficult to really answer what you are looking for. You need to know the laws for your state, you need to research different curriculums. There are all types, literature based programs, science based programs, computer programs, math heavy programs, programs that tie religion into learning. Visit your local homeschool or teaching resource center. Even better would be to visit a homeschooling convention near where you live. Find homeschoolers locally who can help you find resources where you live. That is the best answer I have to offer.
