Video Contests For High School Students

Willard Said:

Theme for video contest?

We Answered:

Insurance is supposed to be helpful. How about they make a video that shows people helping people. Maybe today's disconnected youth can make a difference with the forgotten elderly.

Makes a very good insurance company statement.

The high school I'm about to start has limited activities..?

We Answered:

colleges only like it if you do sports for almost 4 years and hold a position such as vice president etc. also, playing sports wouldnt matter unless you are planning to go to college based on athletics and plan to pursue career on sports related jobs. You should focus on your school work--that's what counts the most!-- instead of spending time on clubs unless you plan to take time and do it for a long time. I tried different clubs too before thinking that colleges will want to see various type of activities done but it didnt really matter towards the admission because i didnt do it for a long time. I spent hours and hours every week but i quit after a year and the person at career services told me not to put it in my resume so I didn't and now I regret the time I spent so much on that one activity which didnt even help me at all. My advice is to do one,two clubs that you like and plan to devote your time into and take a position afterwards such as vice president, treasurer, etc. Meanwhile, do volunteering because that's what colleges like to see students do most--like volunteer at hospital, hold a charity etc. I spent most of my time volunteering at hospital and that helped me alot! Good luck! =]
