Sidney Said:
How do I confront my mom about this? 10 points!?We Answered:
I was in the same situation last year and this year, actually. And right now, I'm enrolling in an online high school! The online school sounds great. Since you have already done your homework on it, I would prepare a little presentation and talk to your mom about it. Then give her time to do HER homework on it! My mom spent a lot of time just looking around on the website and stuff.
Tell her the pro's and cons that you did here- although, about your only con, it's not true! There are a lot more opportunities to volunteer, take a fun class, join a sport or play an instrument when you are at online school. All of these things will help you make friends. And you shouldn't lose your friends from your old school just because you switch schools.
Although, since you are easily distracted, think about if this is really a good option for you. In your home, you have so many more things to distract you from your schoolwork. Are you only distracted by your peers? Then this is a good option. But if you're going to get distracted by your TV or something around you at home, this isn't a good fit.
Good luck!
