Volunteer For High School Students
David Said:
animal volunteer oppertunities for high school students in Seattle WA?We Answered:
call around to the different shelters and ask them. They usually like to have volunteers to help play with the animals and get them their exercise. You can also help by participating in charites that benefit animal rights.
I know that Kitsap Humane Society hires volunteers (but thats near Bremerton)
Check with the seattle humane society
Alex Said:
Where can junior high school student volunteer? We Answered:
The public library - they almost always need volunteers of all ages to help unpack, shelve, dust books, help with story hours for the little onesLocal churches - help at the nursery or bible study for younger kids, teachers aide for religion classes, choir, and so on - there is really a lot you could help with at a church - they ALWAYS need volunteers
Volunteer days for your village or town - sometimes they will do a fix up day for seniors or low income families in the community, or need help planting and caring for community gardens, all sorts of things, really
Animal rescue shelters - spending time caring for and playing with homeless pets
Nursing Homes - visiting, reading out loud, playing cards, helping at church services
Soup Kitchen - help to prepare and serve meals, clean up afterwards
your school - check with your teachers and principal, I'm betting they can find something for you to do there if you want to
adopt a section of road - keep it litter free once or twice a month
Hope this helps and that you enjoy CJSF, it's a great program :D
