Best places to study abroad for Spanish speaking countries? :)?

We Answered:

I´d choose Spain.

It´s much safer than other Spanish speaking countries (I´m talking about the big cities so please don´t say there´s a small village in X much safer than v.g. Madrid).

There are plenty of museums and cultural legacy. History here goes from "Atapuerca man" to nowadays including Romans, Arabs, etc. Many cultures left a nice legacy behind them, you´ll see in architecture, food, music...

The weather is sunny most of the year (not in the North), specially in southern Spain.

In Spain I´d suggest you to choose Granada. Streets are alive night and day due to the big amount of students (in Granada about 80.000); you get a free tapa with your drink; you can see the Alhambra and Albayzin (UNESCO protected), depending on th season you can go on the same weekend skiing at the mountains and to the beach , both closer than an hour drive from Granada; Granada is big enough to be alive but small enough to go by walking everywhere if you´re not in rush, and and and...

By the way forget the legend (partially true regarding the oldies) complaining about Andalusians´ bad pronuciation : in Madrid people say ("Madrizz") and have big problems with grammacy (improper use of "lo, los,le, les ,la ,las") and further North it gets even worse. In addition to that , every teacher speaks standard Spanish.

There are about 20 language schools that teach Spanish as a foreign language. I´m posting a blog with prices for accommodation and courses of EVERYONE of them and a short summary with pros and cons. Many of these schools offered free courses if you work as secretary for them.

Best Places to study abroad in?

We Answered:

I have a friend who has studied in japan and she says its pretty tough due to the living expense and time required to stufy. You do not have much of a social life cause any time not spent studying is spent working to earn enough to stufy. They are very strict when it comes to marks and assignments. If of course you have no financial issues then it would be a awesome country to experience.

I have friends who also study in finalnd and they have great student lives. They get student houses which have all year parties and festivals. Nearly all courses are tought in english and offer a great international recognition.

I would also take into consideration the cost of each program - and the cost of living. England is twice as expensive as the U.S., and the Euro is creeping up there.

Spanish and Italian are very similar...

Aw, what the heck, Rome is awesome :o)
