Phillip Said:

European countries to do a master?

We Answered:

I studied in Holland and Belgium, and if you are for a progressive, practical style of learning I would tend to suggest Holland. The tuition fees for taking a master's degree there is very competitive compared to most European countries as far as I can remember (check the uni's website for current rates) and there is greater likelihood for you to find the course you want in English than in Belgium or Portugal. The standards are also higher.

Dutch universities which, to my knowledge, offer postgraduate studies in organizational psychology include Rotterdam School of Management, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Universiteit Leiden (my fiance graduated from there). These are all excellent cities to study in, and there are also significant Latin American communities there.

The scholarship fund I mostly heard about when I was living in Holland was the DELTA scholarship. Some Latin American countries qualify for it, check if yours does. I think www.nuffic.nl should have some information about it.

Although education in Belgium is good too, I tend to find it rather old fashioned and conservative. As much as I prefer the relaxed Belgian lifestyle and the sane pace on which life takes place (compared to busy Holland), it's not really my first choice country for taking studies, especially in a field like organizational psychology. However, should your uni in Europe have collaborations with a Belgian institution, I would totally go for it because there are nevertheless a lot of worthy resources for research in Belgium.

Hope it works out for you!

Scholarship needed for a motivated student!?

We Answered:

Hello

Although the following sites provide an overview of the financial support available for students in England and other UK countries, there are also links to relevant funding information for EU and other international students: see http://unimoney.direct.gov.uk/financial-… and http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAnd…

You may also find it useful to have a look at the British Council website at http://www.educationuk.org/pls/hot_bc/pa… - there are a wide range of links including one to ‘living and studying in the UK’ and scholarships.

I hope this helps answer your question and I wish you well in your study.
