Exchange Student Programs

Ruth Said:

Are there Any Good Exchange Student Programs Out There?

We Answered:

Most programs require a minimum age - 16 is the standard. However, you may be able to find some that do allow younger students to go abroad. Here is a list of reputable study abroad agencies: http://www.macquil.com/abroad.php
ps,- I've had experience with AFS and EF and they have been doing this for over 40 years and they really take care of their students.

Are there any Exchange Student Programs for middle school students?

We Answered:

To the best of my knowledge, the US State Department won't allow a student under 15 to go on exchange. I also don't know of any country or reputable program that will accept an exchange student who is under 15 (some would prefer over 16).
