Answer it. They won't deny you aid because you applied to another college, and they know you are applying to more than one. It's probably just to know what kind of universities you are applying to to get a feel for where their applicants want to go and such. It's not a big deal, and they will not appreciate answers just left blank.

Hi

On under-graduate or higher-education courses you will often get a month off studying and Christmas and at Easter and then 2 months in the summer. During this time you won't be taught but will probably still be able to use the university/college facilities and you may be revising for exams, etc. You'll still need to have money for you food, accommodation and other costs.

Sometimes though, especially post-graduate courses (e.g. Masters), will run for the whole 12 months with shorter breaks at Christmas and Easter so are effectively 12 month courses rather than 8 months.

You don't give your nationality. If you are a citizen of one of the countries that can travel to the USA withou a visa by registering for ESTA the "address in the USA" block is not mandatory. You just have to be able to provide an address at Passport Control (show the hotel reservation).

If you have to apply for a real visa then you should check with the Office of International Students where you are attending school for advice on applying. They should be able to help you with the documentation requirements - don't just submit the completed forms and hope for the best:

same situation. I am a British citizen my husband was a student doing bsc.You must apply for 'settlement visa' using settlement application. We are in the process of doing. Do not do it yourself..get a solicitor.Home office will mess you up big time.
