I'm afraid it is the same as in the U.S. - loans are given by the government to help their own citizens get an education (so international students are ineligible), or by banks which won't lend internationally, because it is too hard to collect once the student graduates and leaves the country. Occasionally scholarships are given to outstanding international students, but loans - never. Most Canadian universities are much less expensive than U.S. schools to begin with, because most are public and government-subsidized, but I'm afraid that isn't true of the Film School.
