Yes,non payment of taxes can be noticed, as everything is computerized.. When you work there,you are required to file a tax return, student tax paid is returned back when you leave the country.. But when you apply for citizenship in the future,you will be asked for proof that you paid your taxes. Without a tax return,you will have hard time gaining citizenship. You must be a law abiding citizen to be considered for citizenship, if so desired.

Depends on where they are from - Southeast Asians won't face much problems, other may, etc

or their family/education background - if they're Asians who are well travelled and well educated they may adapt very quickly, Europeans who don't may not, etc.

also depends on how big the country's community is in Singapore. There are lots of students from China, India, and Indonesia so they have community support to help them get used to Singapore.
