Don't lose yourself and forget your purpose of going abroad (to learn, have fun, and to study/get good grades). Be disciplined to have a good balance between study/play, work/play, not too much of one side.
Don't overspend.
Be friendly and sincere to your friends.
Use your common sense, really.

Unless your in the U.S legally and your visa doesn't run out you necessarily don't have to return back to Korea. I personally hope North Korea doesn't do anything more stupid.

I studied there a few years ago and it was not easy but once you get into things both from a learning point of view and from a cultural point if view its great.

The city itself is vibrant and very good and with the beach, marina and many bars and cafes its really a great city. You can often go on the one year program twice, two years in a row. I'd sign up for one year first, though, and see if you still want to be in the same place for the following year. However, this often prevents you from graduating on time, so very few people do so. Usually you can only do a certain amount of your schoolwork outside of your own university (whether the other places you study are in the US or abroad), so you'd have to take five years to graduate unless you find the perfect program.
