9th Grade Math

Zachary Said:

What do I have to study to learn all of 9th grade advanced math?

We Answered:

Algebra I IS 9th grade math. Depending on where you live, 10th grade math is considered to be either Geometry or Algebra II.

At my high school it's:

Algebra I ----> Geometry ----> Algebra II -----> Pre-Calculus

and if you're advanced: (took Algebra I in 8th grade)

Geometry ----> Algebra II ----> Pre-Calculus ----> Calculus

Don Said:

How should I decorate my 9th grade math support class?

We Answered:

Let them decorate. Give them a "poster assignment" at the beginning. Tell them it should be appropriate, math-related. One year, for a change, I put up pictures of dogs. The students started naming them and putting their names on them. It was good for the entire year. I could even ask math questions, e.g., what fraction of the dogs have long ears?

Seth Said:

9th grade Math FCAT tomorrow. Any idea on what I should mainly study?

We Answered:

The math that you will see will be anything from Pre-Algebra to the beginning of Geometry. It will also include elementary statistics and math that you probably learned in 7th grade. I got a 5 on that test because i was in Geometry honors when i was a freshmen.
you can go to their website and look at released tests for your grade.
Good Luck and the test is a joke.

Ernest Said:

How do I tell my parents I failed my 9th grade Academic Math class?

We Answered:

You should definitely tell your parents before your teacher calls because that will make you look responsible and mature. Waiting for you teacher to call when you already knew will make it look like you never had intentions on telling them. Tell your parents that the math was difficult for you to grasp and you tried your hardest but you will do much better this coming school year. 9th grade starts high school so its a level of math different from junior high math of course. Just reassure them that you will pass the class and that you love them and want to make them proud.
