Help understanding Student Loans?

We Answered:

I see you are in the UK. Being in the states I can tell you how it works here.
There are gov't backed student loans that usually give a small portion of the actual semester costs. Then you have to apply for other loans from other sources. Most lenders, and the financial office of the colleges, will expect 'family contributions' towards your college costs. Books, dorm and misc expenses are usually left to the famil or student him/herself. That's why many college students work part time. Good luck

It's for twelve months from the start date, whenever that happens to be.

There is nothing in the immigration rules that prevent a student buying a house in the UK. Lots of people do it, so don't worry.

How do i get more signal on my tv??! Please Help :(?

We Answered:

I suspect you are using an indoor antenna and trying to pick up off-the-air signals rather than being hooked to a commercial cable signal. Your best bet for good signals would be from a outside antenna which you probably can't do. A good set of rabbit ears is probably your best bet. Take what channels you can get. Go to antennaweb.org and put in your location. It will show the channels in your area and what you can hope to achieve.
