The solicitor may need some additional papers as well, but if the mortgage is already sorted out, things should be straight forward. What they're willing to give you depends utterly on what their actual commission arrangement is. How much 'help' did you actually provide in finding a tenant? If you played a major part, ask for 25% to 50% of what they receive. If you simply knew of somebody looking for a place and told them you knew about a vacant flat, less. Whether the agent thinks you deserve what you ask for is for the two of you to argue over.
