Tammy Said:
Where can I find a flat/studio or a room to rent in London? We Answered:
Very good site:www.thegumtree.com
Ramona Said:
Best websites or agencies for a room rent or house share in London? We Answered:
Gumtree - but be careful as there are also some scammers operating thereIf anyone asks you for money before seeing the flat, especially if the mention Western Union or Moneygram, they are a scam and there is no flat. The typical scam asks you to wire money to a friend and send them the receipt so they can see that you have enough money to pay - then they go to Western Union and withdraw the money with a fake ID in your friend's name.
Don't ever pay anything until AFTER you have physically seen the flat and either met the owner, your flatmate or the estate agent. Most of the listings are legitmate, so as long as you don't pay anything til you've seen the flat, then you should be fine

I have a room to rent in London. Any idea where to advertise it?We Answered:
Contact the nearest Uni and ask to put an advert of thier notice boards or even in the Student Union, you could advertise free on Gumtree as well, but you will get inundated with scammers.Agnes Said:
