Have a look at the Ridgemount Hotel. Another option (though it's more pricey than the Ridgemount) might be the London Apartments group: they have several places around the Holborn/ Bloomsbury area. http://www.apartment-hotels.com/london_a…
In general, that district (Bloomsbury) is one of the better-value areas of central London for hotels and b&bs. Once you get south of there, you're into the expense-account zone of Holborn (lawyers from Lincoln's Inn Fields and surgeons from the Royal College.)
