Jill Said:

Where can I find budget accommodation in London? I'm an student from overseas.?

We Answered:

I stayed with a family I found from www.londonhomestays.com and studied in Central London. My course included a 6-week internship and I stayed the whole time with one family. My room was pretty comfortable and the host mother was an ok cook.

The Hyde Park area doesn't come cheap, perhaps you can consider other student accommodations along the Piccadilly line, and take the tube.

Elizabeth Said:

Where in london can i find cheap accommodation where i pay around 40-70 pounds per week?

www.gumtree.co.uk/london

Max Said:

Where would a student find good accommodation for two in london? Have a look at the details before you answe?

We Answered:

For around £350 /month, you can get a reasonable double room, but it may have a double bed. You could look under "roomshare". Gumtree is OK but beware of scammers- view before paying any deposit. Central areas will probably be more expensive, so maybe worthwhile moving out a little. Check if any/what utility bills are included in the price quotes. Communal kitchens/bathrooms are the norm.
