trip advice for peru?We Answered:
You're pretty darn far away from Peru. Check out LAN airlines, who fly into Santiago from Sydney via Aukland. When you buy your ticket, you can book a South America Pass with them (http://www.lan.com/en_us/sitio_personas/… for a discount on your flights within South America. LAN is the biggest and best airline in South America, maybe not quite up to par with Qantas, but you won't be disappointed I think. The thing about booking flights with LAN, they change their prices from day-to-day, and even hour-to-hour for the same exact flights. So get on their website frequently and check your Sydney-Santiago flight, get an idea for prices, and when things are as cheap as you've seen them, it's time to buy.
Your total budget sounds perfectly reasonable for a good time in South America, for about a month or so. If you go really budget, you can stretch things out for another month. December is not the best season to see Machu Picchu, as it's the rainy season, but you can still see it. The Nazca lines are good year-round. With your South American Pass on LAN, I'd recommend you go to Patagonia and see Torres Del Paine, and the Argentine side near Calafate, Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. Iguazu is amazing as well, and will be very hot in December, but worth the visit.
One more thing, bring your student i.d. because a lot of places (including Machu Picchu) give student discounts.

what is the best place to stay which is close to campus? We Answered:
As a first-timer to Perth and an international student, I recommend staying on campus at the provided student housing. At the student housing you'll find other international students just like yourself, and you'd be able to socialize easier. Student villages often organize out of town trips/orientation/barbecues and other events that allow you to meet other students. Staying on your own outside campus can be a little difficult transport wise etc.
You should be able to apply for a single room (book early!) but it is
usually apartment style. So you'll get 3-6 rooms in an apartment/flat. And you will share kitchen/lounge facilities. If you're worried about sharing, dont because half the time you will hardly see your housemates because they'll have other schedules!
Click on the website below and you'll find the different housing availabilities on campus. Hope it helps.
Good luck and enjoy Perth! (i know i did!!)

Seeking a accommodation in perth? We Answered:
Most share accommodation (without furniture) near the universities like Curtin are closer to $200 per week (the university accommadation is $300+ per week (including meals) - so I think you have to increase your amount.Furnished accommodation places are more for the high end people who spend the week in Perth and the weekend in Sydney etc (i.e. 500-700 per week), its not the cheap option.
