One thing they're looking for is stability. If 2 people are a couple, then they will be trying to get along like a family.But if it's just 2 guys, the manager may figure that having no privacy will be too stressful, the room-mateship won't work out, and then one person will be stuck trying to pay the rent. --which they probably can't afford or they wouldn't have to have a room mate anyway, they could live on their own.--but a couple would want to live together just because they want to be together.
