student finance form? can i order one?We Answered:
It's ok, you're not too late for this year, as you can send it in up to nine months after the academic year starts. However it would have been much better to get it in earlier this year. I'm quite surprised you weren't given one at college/sixth form. My entire year were given packets of information, including the forms. You can do it online (someone has already given you the link), I would do this if I were you, it's probably quicker and easier. And Rishi K: please stop giving people that information. In the UK people get a loan from the government to pay their tuition fees and they don't need a huge loan from the bank which will do nothing but get them into even more debt.

Student Finance Evidence?We Answered:
I totally sympathise with you, Student Finance are appallingly slow.Im about to start my second year at uni and started my application months in advance, my first year sorting it out still fresh in my mind!
Dont worry though, fact is they do (and will) take weeks to process you application, when I rang them yesterday to track mine, I was told they are still going through the apps from JUNE.
You know you have sent the right stuff so dont worry. If you have received a letter with the declaration for a BASIC amount (so without the means testing) you should still sign it and send it back, that way, no matter what happens you are guaranteed to receive at least the basic amount on time. That's what I have had to do and when they finally get to my parents evidence they simply add the new amount to the money im already going to get.
If I were you I would ring them tomorrow, explain it all again to them, get the name and branch of the person you are speaking to (so you have something to refer to if you are told something different another time) and check with them that you will get the basic amount on time for uni.
This unfortunately is all you can really do as Student Finance are notorious for being ineptly slow and erratic.
If all else fails and you get to the start of uni and you are not receiving the correct amount of money, get hold of you local MP and explain the situation (and add that, without the correct amount of finance you will have to drop out of uni because you cant afford it) and the MP will get onto it with Student Finance on your behalf. Sounds crazy I know but I did this last year when SF were messing around and not sorting out the money (it was November and I still had not received it, was close to having to leave my halls). Within 2 hours of the MP contacting SF the full amount of money was deposited into my bank account!! When they had someone breathing down their neck they SUDDENLY were able to press a button and authorise it!
Good luck and keep pressing them, remember they are appallingly slow so you need to keep on at them and take down names and Branch's so you have someone to refer to.
