Help With Student Finance

George Said:

I start uni in 3 weeks and I have been told student finance dont help towards tuition fees anymore?

We Answered:

You should have made an early application to your local LEA. Do this quickly. This is not to say there is no help with tuition fees - simply that wealthier students, or students from wealthier families, are expected to contribute, and in any case (in England and Wales, but not Scotland, where the state still pays fees) the student may get them paid, but must pay them back after graduating, when his or her wage reaches 80% of the national average.

You can get funding. Tell the LEA immediately.

Claude Said:

I'm going crazy out of my mind. Please help ! Student finance have lost my only type of home office document?

We Answered:

You need to give more information and more clearly. You are talking about citizenship, ILR and student finance. The three are completely different things and I cannot see the connection you might have. You could not apply for citizenship unless you already have had ILR for a full year, so why would you need info on that? And if you are here on a student visa you cannot qualify for ILR. If you have a student visa or ILR you can already work, you don't need a UK passport.

Can you please explain further and perhaps we can give you some answers.

Audrey Said:

Can 'student finance company' finance me for a mba or any masters degree?

We Answered:

as far as i understand it and i could be wrong, student finance don't finance masters or phd you need to get a career loan from a bank but i believe the rates are pretty good. my friend thinks that they may finance masters but you are liable to repay it as soon as finished regards of your personal situation i.e whether you have a job or not. as i said grey area i wasn't sure ring your local lea or ask at uni best of luck xx
