Generally, you can apply for student loans at any time during the academic year. So, if you begin Sept. 09, that is the 09-10 acadmic year. You will have to check with your school in regards to the exact begin and end dates for their academic year, as each year period is determined by the school. Each school can also pre-determine dates in which they begin and end acceptance of new loan application, so you are best to contact your school about that as well.
