Student Finance Change Of Circumstance

Tyler Said:

Still saying no evidence? Student Finance?

We Answered:

Most applications can take up to 6-8 weeks after you submitted them. As you have till october to get all the information in I would resubmit the information that their looking for so that way you're covered and they can't come back in a months time and say "where's your evidence to support your application? Their very busy at this time of year and its hard to keep up so be patient but just hand in your evidence again and give them about another two weeks and contact them. That way your giving them time to receive the new information & also to get back to you from the Original evidence.

Should I call Student Finance again?

We Answered:

I spoke to them yesterday and got straight through, I also received my final notification yesterday.

I know they keep having trouble with error messages which went on for 3 months with me as I applied in Jan, but they then sent me a letter saying they needed other info I rang them again and they said not to worry it was just computer generated, and even though they said they had errors on system if they could not get it sorted by the time the money is due they would do it manually so I would get payment on time.

I heard the message yesterday as-well and I still got through to someone. I would not worry too much for the time being as money is not due until October anyway I would leave it for a week or two and then contact them or if it will put your mind at rest.

Im applying for University through clearing and need to apply for student finance. I am only applying for one?

We Answered:

Right, firstly it takes 2 weeks for it to go through in reality, so even though the deadline was in May, don't worry.
Secondly, it doesn't matter whether you get on or not, you should still apply now, and the finance people will know whether you got in or not. Actually, they'll know now, before you. How stupid is that.
And finally, you should be able to apply online if this is your first year of study, at studentfinancedirect. Then I would guess it is quicker and easier to change your details if need be.

Good luck with results and clearing!

Think I have accidentally re-applied for my maintenance and tuition fee loans?!?!?

We Answered:

If you are talking about SAAS then you can't reapply, so don't worry.

If not, email them and let them know you accdiently done it. But they won't do anything bad, they'l realise it was an accident and disregard the second one. They won't think you are trying to con them

Question about student finance notification and income assessment loan?

We Answered:

Ooh my dase im in the same boat, but try to research the question to find answers but found none. When i applied online, it told me that im not entitled to a grant, even though i recieved it last year. Everything that you just said in your question is everything that is on my letter aswell.

But my mum hasnt sent of her evidence, so i as wondering if i will recieve more money if she does?? and is this the reason why im not reciveing my grant. I didnt send of evidence last year but i still recieved all of this. When i rang them it said there buy and to call back later...perfetic considering people are probably bombarding them with calls, so in this case i will prob. never get through to them.
My mum accidentially sent of the declaration letter without a stamp...will they accept it??

Anyways, to answer your question, if you recieved your grant last year then im pretty sure you will revcieve it again this year.
If its your first year, then maybe its something to do with online applications, because i didnt have this problem with the paper form. Your maintenance grant is based on your income so if your parents are earning for e.g. under 25k a year, then youll definatey recieve a grant, and you should be entitled to a bursary from your university aswell.
