Look around your own area to see if there are other opportunities there. Finding an employer is not the only way of earning money. Would you be willing to do house cleaning at the weekend? Busy folks may be willing to pay. Elderly folks may no longer be able to do it easily themselves and need a helping hand. Anywhere that family look after housebound people 24/7, they may need a "granny sitter" to give themselves some time off. Do you know something well enough to teach someone else? Guitar, piano, a foreign language perhaps? I know two teenagers doing this.

Nursing homes in your area may need temporary assistants if domestic staff call in sick. Leave your details there, and also in hotels, cafes, shops and other places - saying you will be willing to help if they are short staffed. Getting called once will lead to other calls.

Cars are more expensive to run than you imagine. You will still need a job or to earn your own money in other ways, to keep it on the road.
