So, If you were in this confused situation about your future what would u do? college Life 10pnts?We Answered:
Don't worry. I just finished my BBA in Marketing/Management but I'm going back for Physics so you can always change no matter what. From what you've written, I would say go into law because it seems like your passion. As far as transferring to a four-year university, from what I know your GPA from any other university, community college or whatever, will not transfer over with you when you switch schools. It will be a play a part in determining whether or not you're admitted but if you feel like you need some more time to take classes that you might possibly be interested in, then do them now before you transfer. I truly hope this helps, but it sounds like you're blessed enough to find your path at a relatively young age no matter what you might think lol. I'm getting a completely different degree that's gonna take me 5 years to get a PhD in, and I'm 21 so yeah we have all the time in the world.Katrina Said:
Business Major in need of help!?We Answered:
Ideally you should be going at least half time if not more otherwise your degree will take forever to complete. If you are a still a freshman I would recommend concentrating on your required courses first especially English Composition and then worry about your major. However if you are at least a sophomore I would recommend that you take one required course along with one course in your major. The first course in your major I would get out of the way would be accounting and not worry about finance until at least your junior year.Clifton Said:

the last day of adding classes is this monday and i have no idea what classes,i talked to the advicer, detials? We Answered:
If they will definitely count as just electives, then take courses you want to take, because it doesn't matter which courses you take as electives. (Definitely ask about this on Monday if you are worried, though!) I looked at the list of long-distance courses, but I don't know which ones you would be interested in.It looks like "Diverse Issues in Contemporary Society" is something that anyone in any major can take.
"Financial Management for Engineers" is still a finance course even if it doesn't count towards a finance major. You might want to ask your advisor at the appointment if it is a hard course.
"Money, Consumers and Family" is a course that relates to money, so maybe it will be interesting to take.
"Lifespan Human Development" looks interesting to me. ;)
You might want to read through all of the descriptions of the courses to find interesting ones. The above classes are just some that I thought might be helpful or interesting for you to take.

I am a graduating electrical engineering student, how can a prepare myself for a job in the finance industry? We Answered:
Well I am a civil engineer that never practiced civil engineering except for 4 years in the beginning of my career. I went into computer programming, much more enjoyable, with only one college class in the subject. Now I trade equities full time with no finance training at all. I use common sense more than anything else and I make considerably more than 35k and considerably more than 50k also but some years are much better than others.
You do not have to go into finance to trade equities. You can do that on your own. And most equity traders do not have finance degrees.
You could go back to college and work on an MBA with emphasis on finance. Many have done such as that.
