Lloyd Said:
What can I do to improve my chances of acceptance at MIT?We Answered:
Hey man.As long as you keep that up, I'm sure you'll be doing fine for that school.
Lol your major is the same as mine. Actually I'm planning on doing Applied Physics or Computer Science.
Anyways, MIT does not look at your freshman year grades too much, so you have to keep it up.
In an interview, the dean said that if you did well in your freshman year "good for you, but we look at it in mild interest." He also noted that if you did bad in freshman year, it is acceptable because of puberty.
Don't mess up during your sophomore or junior or senior year. Seriously.
Other then that, you should aim for 800 in math, 600-700 in Critical Reading, and 600-700 in Writing. Higher is somewhat better.
Good Luck dude.
