have you received a letter from student finance? if so the letter should have a customer reference number. contact student finance with this reference number and they should be able to give you more advice.if you haven't received a letter then you can contact them anyway ask them what you will need to do.
alternatively finding the number for your local authority student awards and grants office. this is the area of the council which deals with applications for student finance. they should be able to give you some advice as well.
