Student Finance Part Time Course
Harvey Said:
What type of car suits a lady who is 23 years old and a new driver? We Answered:
you can always start out with something like a honda civic or a toyota corolla. They tend to last people 200k+ miles and repairs shouldn't be too costly. I wish i had one of those as my first car. Instead i have a Chrysler just sitting in my driveway collecting pollen...Lillian Said:
I am planning to pursue a Master degree in Mathematics with NUS on part-time basis. Any advice for me ?We Answered:
Taking part time course after more than 15 years of study is never easy task for anybody. You need to have a very strong mentality to success in the course especially you have not study for such a long time. Since you are taking part time course, you must be able to carry out time management to balance out your working life, your family life and your study too. The most important thing you should have is your family support so that you can have better concentration. Yes, it is better to start thinking about this sort of things rather than give up the course when you are in the midst of the course. I won't say you are worrying too much but what you think is correct coz if you give up in the midst of the course, you are actually wasting your own time and effort. It is not an easy process you really need a lot of endurance in order to succeed.Ted Said:
what other funding can you apply for ..for a part time degree course? We Answered:
Depends on where you are. I could give the answer for here but that would be no help for there.Corey Said:
I really need some Advice about University (I'm really struggling with part of it)?We Answered:
Firstly your local authority will pay for up to four years of a degree course and will allow repeat years in exceptional circumstances where there are compelling reasons - e.g illness, depression (accompanied by a doctor's note), family problems etc, but this is ultimately at the local authority's discretion. They paid for me to repeat my second year. I got a doctor's note and said I was depressed and stressed about my studies. Contact your LEA first to enquire as to whether they would and under what circumstances.
Your university should also have an Access to Learning Fund (previously called a Hardship Fund). All unis have this and it is funded by the government. Approach student support to see if there is anyway that this fundcan be provided for tuition fees (best too phone up to ask rather than go in as if they say no you can then go in and just apply for it for some other reason!). Alternatively be a bit crafty and say you are broke (you'll need to fill out a means form) and any money you get put it towards future tuition fees..
Finally you should contact this organisation. See links. they provde details of all chatiries, organisations that provide funding for people in difficult circumstances:
