Work experience for year 10 student? We Answered:
For my work experiance, I worked in Peacocks. Haha. WHAT a mistake. It was boring and pointless, real waste of time.
The placements that got the best reveiws were the primary schools. They felt they had alot to do, it was rewarding and enjoyable.
Great Almond Street hospital maybe?
:)

How do I look for jobs?We Answered:
I am in the accounting field. And this is how I started finding my job. Currently I am a Controller for an Entertainment Company. The best way to start is the local newspaper in the area you want to work. Especially if they have a Sunday Job section.
Another great way is to reseach finance companies, find the reputable ones, and then scour their websites. They all list employment opportunities somewhere on their website.
Last but not least you can check Monster.com, Jobs.com. But I wouldn't suggest this as your primary search.

Straight A student - which uni for business/finance?We Answered:
Is this in the US? Your wording seemed odd, so thats why I asked. If so, any big state school will have a very good business school, especially if its in a major city. Plus if its in a city, you can start working on an internship before you are even finished with school. If you are looking for more prestige, look into Harvard--top business school in the world. But be prepared to learn the stock market, rather than more real-world business.Andy Said:
I want to know the opinions of what you think I should do in my third year for uni?We Answered:
Work experience counts for more than a college degree does. Trust me on this. I have a Master's degree, and I had very little work experience. I got passed up for over 100 jobs. But make sure you finish the degree. Taking time off can make you not want to go back. I'd recommend staying in school, taking a light load, and getting an internship. That will take you much farther.
Oh, and the one thing that will get you more jobs than anything else is networking. Get to know people in the industry, and you'll have those connections when you get out of college. It's not what you know, but who you know.
Good luck to you!
