put the course you are most likely going to do, and the rough start date, as long as its in the right month its ok. Just be mindful that changing stuff is possible but a serious pain in bum lol. if you think that the reply you are waiting for from your school of choice is late, then try calling the admissions department. If you are applied through UCAS and haven't gotten a Uni give you an offer or place, then you just might wait a little more till middle of May.
For the student finance, it depends on where you are applying and i mean, which part of the UK you are applying which would be based on the school that gave you an offer. I study in Scotland and my student finance support was from SAAS. Do your parents really need to support it? Yes and No! Yes because, maybe you are still under 18. When i registered, i was above 18 and didn't need my parents to support my application. All i needed was prove i could finance my education. There is a certain amount you are expected to have for a session.
How do you get your parents to finance it?...By talking them into it. If you have a guardian, he or she can also stand for you

You can just cancel them and it shouldn't be over complicated. Give them a ring when you've decided - it may mean putting something in writing to them. You wouldn't get any payments anyway until you actually enrolled on a course.

It's usually calculated on a yearly pro annum, meaning the whole year is calculated to how much you would be entitled to according to how much your dad earnt for that year. tax doesn't come into it, it's all calculated accordingly to see who should be eligable. Most students in the UK are able to take out student loans/grants to cover the cost of living to a varying amount. The best thing to do would be to give the company who's doing it for you a call and explain the situation. You could also be entitled to a £1,000 year Bursary in addition to the grant to help with travel and books etc. Good Luck!

The loan does, once you start earning over £15000 a year.
