Student Loan Finance England
Holly Said:
How long should it take for Student Finance England to get your loan sorted? (Read details)? We Answered:
There should be a date on the letter to tell you when the first payment is due which is usually the first day of semester when you enrol. But it also says;"You will receive your first payment within 3 to 4 working days of your attendance being confirmed to us by your university or college, however you will not be paid before your expected payment date. All other payments should also be paid into your account within 3 to 4 working days of your expected payment date."
Last year my first payment was due on the day I enrolled, it went in 2 days later. The next two payments did go in on the dates in the letter though.

Student loans? Maximum loan? I don't get it (UK ONLY)?We Answered:
Your accommodation must be expensive. I have also read that the maximum loan is about £4,000 which I though was very low too. I think people have such high debt such as £25,000 is because they have taken out bank loans as well as student loans. Bank loans are different from student loans because if you owe student loans you only need to start repaying them back after you are earning more than £15,000 a year while bank loans, the normal rules apply and also have interest rates. If you want to try and reduce your debt you can apply for bursaries, accommodation bursaries to help with costs and find a part-time job while a student (which may be difficult but is common). You could also save money by getting a job during the summer holidays.
Hope this helps, good luck.
