Properties To Rent In The Uk
Carla Said:
Property for rent Oxford UK?We Answered:
In view of the recent flooding around this area I would imagine there will be lots of properties to let as those poor people who have been affected by the floods will probably find their houses virtually impossible to sell.Virginia Said:
can you help? List the steps I need to follow to rent property in UK?We Answered:
Go on findaproperty.com - rentals, - you can find somewhere to rent in any area and to your price range. They are all through agents - so tend to be safer. If you don't go through an agent it might be cheaper but be careful of dodgy landlords. Agents will ask for credit check which in London can cost around £150, 1 months deposit and rent in advance and references.good luck
Cindy Said:
is part buy part rent housing scheme of uk a good investment? We Answered:
It's not a "good investment", no. The price of the property will inevitably never increase much, whereas if you were to buy a house on the open market, you have no guarantee that the price will increase over time but it probably will. However, if this is the only way that you can get onto the property ladder, then it could be a good idea for you. It's better than wasting money on private rent which is just dead money, and having to pay rent will mean that you'll probably find it hard to save a larger deposit anyway.
Bear in mind that the scheme isn't supposed to be an "investment" - it isn't there to help you profit and that's why you can't rent out the property or anything. It is purely meant as a way to help those who would not be able to get a foot on the property ladder through any other means.
The main disadvantage to the key worker schemes (rather than the ones that are open to all first time buyers) is that you usually have to purchase a home in the same borough as which you work. That's fine if that's where you want to live, but the point is that you get no choice.
Albert Said:
Is there a website for privately owned places to rent in the UK?We Answered:
Most websites like http://www.rightmove.co.uk do show properties available to rent, but they are through agencies.Sarah Beeny has started her own website (Tepilo) to allow people to rent or sell without going through agents http://www.tepilo.com and it allows you to search for rentals and flatshares.
As it's a relatively new website it doesn't yet have tons of choice for all areas, but it coud be worth a try.
Also worth looking at is http://www.spareroom.co.uk/
People do advertise flats and rooms on general classifieds websites like http://www.gumtree.com too, so also worth checking out the version for your area
