Housing benefit varies from council to council so you'll need to contact yours to ask them their policy on students & housing benefit.

If you do get accepted on to the course apply for your bursary asap because sometimes they take forever to sort out! Good luck.

For long stay you could probably negotiate a cheaper rate. Others in the Finsbury Park area. Really options depend on your budget. Come to London and look around: you'll find somewhere.
